Bacalar is a small community about 3 hours south of Playa del Carmen and just under an hour from the Belizean border and is perched on the shores of Laguna Bacalar. Laguna Bacalar, known as the lake of 7 colors, is a fresh water lagoon that runs over 65 kilometers (40 miles) north to south, and is the same crystal blue as the Caribbean Sea. The town of Bacalar is a charming small town with plenty to offer. When you visit, or live in Bacalar, you will enjoy a small town experience. The local people are friendly and greet you openly with a smile and an "Hola!", and you can find your fresh produce and groceries at the local country style market. Bacalar has a beautiful town square where you can sit and enjoy a homemade ice cream with friends old or new. On one side of the square you will find the old Spanish fort with cannons still pointed towards the water as they did when they guarded the lagoon from pirates. Laguna Bacalar is an inner waterway that was once used by pirates for shelter entering from Chetumal Bay.

The lagoon itself is a spectacular array of colors, and the calm, crystal clear water will entice you to come and play. The sun rises are breath taking and if you are out playing on the lagoon at sunset you will be in for a real treat. You can find world class fishing and diving throughout the area, see exotic birds and wildlife, go shopping in Belize, or visit a nearby ruin; these are just a few things that you can do all the while enjoying the tranquil back drop of a picturesque Mexican community.

You now have a unique opportunity to be part of the Bacalar community with the project, Los Flamboyanes Bacalar. Los Flamboyanes Bacalar is a one of a kind development located just 4 kilometers north of town. The individual lots of Los Flamboyanes will be approximately 770 square meters (8,289 square feet) and each lot will have access to in-ground services, and the infrastructure of the development, including paved streets, parks, a park directly located on the shores of the lagoon, tennis courts, and secluded privacy. All service areas will be buffered from the houses by tennis courts and parks. Service areas will have their own entrances and exits directly from the exterior road so the service trucks will not drive through the neighborhood disturbing the tranquility of the natural surroundings. Los Flamboyanes is a unique opportunity to experience old world charm with modern day amenities, and is a rare investment opportunity along the Costa Maya.
